DESCRIPTION:
Solis MMC was established in **Apply on the website** and provides
responsive, quality services to children and families who are assessed
as being in need. The organisation does so through the provision of a
continuum of services that integrates disability services, emergency
residential respite, medium and LONG-TERM CHILDREN?S RESIDENTIAL
CENTRES, ASSESSMENT CENTRE AND COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES.
DUE TO CONTINUED SUCCESS THE ORGANISATION IS SEEKING TO RECRUIT THE
FOLLOWING:
CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER ? FOR CHILDREN WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES
JOB ROLE (NOT LIMITED TO):
* The role of the Clinical Nurse Manager (Hereafter referred to as
CNM) is to provide clinical governance for our children?s disability
services.
* The CNM will work closely with centre management and oversee
medication management, staff competency in this area to include
monthly auditing of each young person?s Kardex and MAR
documentation.
* The CNM will be involved in the completion of clinical risk
assessments and will liaise with relevant allied healthcare
professionals to advocate for each young person having their health
needs met and to obtain accurate protocols to meet the needs of each
resident.
* The CNM will attend in house team meetings and pertinent medical
appointments with the young people with responsibility of recording
minutes of medical appointments.
* The CNM will be available to support the social care team for any
queries or clinical concerns they might have regarding the young
people.
* The role involves commitment to the training of staff which may
involve the completion of train the trainer courses to develop within
the role.
* The CNM will have an integral role in the preadmission stages of
new referrals to services.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
* Have previous clinical nurse management experience.
* Have a full Driver?s Licence.
* Have knowledge of Child Protection issues and relevant
legislation.
* Have the skills to deliver training for social care staff.
* Be able to adhere to all organisational policies.
* Have experience in supporting people with a PEG for feeding needs.
* Have a calm, welcoming and patient attitude.
* Live within a commutable distance.
